“What is legacy? It’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see.” Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton.
Much thought went into the design of our company, and we needed a logo that would clearly represent who we are. Our logo is about our clients, not us. Each of the leaves represents a different generation. The dark green leaf represents our planning clients. The largest leaf symbolizes their parents and the smallest leaf represents their children. The shades of green convey growth and prosperity. Together, the leaves in our logo symbolize a thriving multigenerational family. Our logo is both inspirational and aspirational.
At Island Wealth, we strive to help families sustain their wealth through three generations and beyond. The cycle of vanishing wealth is so common, different cultures around the world have their version of the “rice paddies to rice paddies in three generations” proverb.
The proverb illustrates the phenomenon of the first generation who start life in a rice paddy and through ingenuity and hard work create a financial fortune. In the second generation, their children have an easier life. Having seen their parents’ struggles they maintain the family fortune. The third generation often grows up with financial security and without struggle and thus the fortune is consumed sending the next generation back to the rice paddy. We believe that with strategic planning this common pattern can be overcome.
Whenever you look at the Island Wealth logo, we hope you visualize your family’s success in sustaining true wealth.
