Join us for inspiration and ideas from our favorite home cook and see her in action in her own kitchen. You’ll leave with cooking tips, entertaining ideas, and Lynette’s advice for helping to strengthen relationships between the generations!

Lynette writes about food for the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and is the author of three cookbooks. As a successful business owner running a marketing and public relations business, Lynette always knew that cooking was her passion. After working with Brian Enoka and the team at Island Wealth, she gained the confidence to scale back her company to focus on cooking as an art form.

After the reassurance from working with Island Wealth, Lynette wrote her first cookbook, A Chinese Kitchen; Traditional Recipes with an Island Twist. The cookbook is a collection of her mother’s recipes and would go on to become a best-selling cookbook in Hawaii. Her second book, Back in the Day; Enjoy Hawaii’s Comfort Foods from Family and Friends, won 2019’s Best Cookbook award from the Hawaii Publishers Association.

Lynette’s newest cookbook, Yum Yum Cha; Let’s Eat Dim Sum in Hawaii, is scheduled to be released in mid-November.

In this exciting virtual cooking class, Lynette will debut an easy recipe from her upcoming cookbook. She’ll teach us how a humble wonton filling can be used in a variety of dishes including Siu Mai, Gau Gee, Pork Hash platters, boiled or fried wontons and potstickers.

All participant families will receive a signed copy of the cookbook, which will retail at $20.95.
